Delete your account
How to delete your Suvartha account, and what happens to your data. This covers the Suvartha app and every church website on Suvartha, which share one account.
How to ask
Send the request with the form on this page, using the phone number you sign in with, or write to us through “Talk to us” on the Suvartha home page. There is no delete button in the app yet. Nothing is deleted when you send the form: we first contact you on that phone number to confirm the request is yours.
How long it takes
We finish the deletion within 30 days of your request, and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your name, email, address, profile photo and password.
- Your membership of every church, so you no longer appear on any members list.
- Your saved verses, highlights, notes, Bible in One Year progress and journal.
- The prayer requests, testimonies, live chat messages and requests for help you posted.
What is kept
- Your phone number, on a closed account that cannot sign in. If you register again later with the same number, you start a fresh account.
- Gift records you sent to a church, which its office may need for its accounts and 80G receipts. Ask that church’s office if you want them removed.
- Your deletion request, so we can show it was carried out.
- Daily totals, such as how many times a song was opened, which never recorded who you are.
To leave just one church and keep your account, ask that church’s office — it can remove you from its members list.
